Position Overview
As a Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Imaging Technician, you'll utilize transmission electron microscopes for MTS sample imaging by comprehending layout, structures, and process steps, conducting automated or manual critical dimension measurements, and delivering customer reports. Your role includes providing constructive feedback to sample preparation teams for quality enhancement, acquiring advanced analytical techniques, and improving team productivity and turnaround times.
Role and Responsibilities
Your Key Accountabilities Include:
- Adhere to established standard operating procedures and job instructions
- Operate diverse TEM equipment to deliver timely, high-quality bright field and scanning transmission electron microscope images
- Execute precise automated or manual critical dimension measurements per customer requirements
- Master emerging techniques like energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy mapping to expand analytical capabilities
- Concentrate on productivity and efficiency optimization to support team performance objectives
- Engage collaboratively with preparation teams to enhance sample quality and coordinate urgent project requests
Skills and Qualifications
Educational and Professional Requirements:
- Associate degree from a two-to-three-year college program
- Demonstrated semiconductor failure analysis experience with hands-on scanning electron microscope and focused ion beam equipment operation
- Preferential consideration for candidates with transmission electron microscope operational experience
Competencies and Technical Proficiencies:
- Capability to independently operate failure analysis instruments
- Ability to work complete 12-hour shifts with extended seated periods
- Superior manual dexterity and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong collaborative approach with exceptional communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Compensation ranges between $18.60 - $45.00, with variations based on individual qualifications. B Shift schedule: Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturday rotations.
