National General is looking for a Telephone Claims Adjuster Trainee to join our team. You will investigate and confirm the facts of loss for automobile accidents. Your role will focus on determining coverage, liability, and damages, while adjusting and negotiating claims within authority.
What You'll Do
- Handle basic investigation regarding most aspects of auto claims, including coverage, liability, and damages
- Identify customer needs and work to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
- Apply a basic understanding of systems and technology used within the company
- Partner with others to determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle it
- Exhibit a basic understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships
- Begin recognizing and identifying body parts of a vehicle and other potential property damage
