9amHealth is looking for a Telehealth Physician (1099 - Independent Contractor) to join our team. This independent contractor role focuses exclusively on providing synchronous video appointments for patients managing cardiometabolic conditions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct synchronous telehealth consultations with patients scheduled by 9amHealth for cardiometabolic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hyperlipidemia.
- Perform medical assessments appropriate to the encounter, review patient histories, and address concerns within the scope of the appointment.
- Provide medical recommendations, prescriptions, or referrals as appropriate and consistent with state licensure and standards of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters in 9amHealth’s electronic health record system, limited to information generated during the synchronous visit.
What We're Looking For
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Active board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Obesity Medicine, or a related specialty.
- Experience treating cardiometabolic conditions including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obesity.
- Active medical license in the state(s) where services are provided.
- Strong communication skills and ability to deliver care virtually.
Nice to Have
- Prior telemedicine experience.
