CIMA+ is seeking a Telecommunications Designer to support ongoing fibre and copper network programs across Northern BC. In this role, you will combine drafting and detailed design responsibilities to support network deployment, field validation, and construction coordination.
What You'll Do
- Develop detailed OSP fibre and copper network designs
- Prepare construction-ready drawings and documentation
- Perform drafting and design activities in support of network deployments
- Conduct site visits and field validation to support design accuracy
- Coordinate with internal planners, designers, and construction teams
- Review and update as-built documentation as required
- Support ongoing network expansion and upgrade initiatives across Northern BC
What We're Looking For
- 3–7+ years of telecommunications OSP drafting and design experience
- Experience with fibre network deployments
- Strong understanding of outside plant design principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent design software
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Willingness to conduct site visits within Northern BC
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working in rural or northern environments
- Familiarity with aerial and underground fibre construction practices
- Experience supporting large-scale network infrastructure projects
- Currently located in the Prince George area
Technical Stack
- AutoCAD or equivalent design software
