This role leads the technical execution of civil engineering projects across municipal, commercial, residential, and recreational sectors. As a licensed Professional Engineer, you will develop site grading and drainage plans, design water and wastewater systems, and prepare permitting documentation in compliance with New Hampshire regulations. You'll use AutoCAD Civil 3D for design work and apply stormwater modeling tools such as HydroCAD or WaterCAD to support sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design and permitting for stormwater management, site development, and utility systems
- Prepare and stamp technical documents including drainage calculations, site plans, and engineering reports
- Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Support project teams in permit application preparation and technical problem-solving
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
- Perform field assessments, often on undeveloped terrain, requiring physical mobility
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Valid New Hampshire Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of five years of civil engineering experience in northern New England or comparable region
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and stormwater modeling software
- Solid foundation in hydrology, drainage design, water distribution, sewer collection, and site layout
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
Preferred Background
- Advanced degree in engineering or related field
- Additional licensure in VT, ME, or MA

Compensation starts at $85,000, adjusted for experience, qualifications, and licensing.
