Shape infrastructure design as a Civil AutoCAD Technician in either Minneapolis, MN, or Milwaukee, WI. This role supports the development of land use projects by generating accurate technical drawings and digital models for site layouts, grading, road systems, and utility networks. You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, and planning professionals to align design details with project goals and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings based on project specifications, focusing on civil site development components.
- Collaborate with design teams to integrate civil elements into broader project plans.
- Use AutoCAD and Civil3D to develop models for grading, earthwork, pipe networks, and surface design.
- Revise and refine drawings to correct discrepancies and ensure adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Help maintain standardized AutoCAD blocks and templates, contributing to consistent documentation practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of five years of experience using AutoCAD for technical drafting and design.
- Proficiency in Civil3D and a solid grasp of civil design principles, including grading, pipe networks, and surface modeling.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS and the ability to interpret architectural plans and engineering schematics.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Understanding of basic building systems and mechanical design concepts.
Preferred Background
- Degree or certification in a field related to engineering design, drafting, or civil technology.
- Additional drafting credentials may strengthen your application.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role with a focus on in-person collaboration. Team members are expected to be in the office at least three days per week in either Minneapolis or Milwaukee to support integrated project workflows.

Compensation and Benefits
