Responsibilities
- Support modeling strategy, strengthening discipline execution, and owning coordination and documentation quality across projects within a defined discipline focus.
- Apply TEECOM’s workflows, tools, and BIM standards with a high level of independence, serving as a key technical contributor who helps project teams deliver coordinated construction documents.
- Contribute to project delivery through advanced modeling, drawing development, coordination leadership, documentation, and early engineering support within your primary discipline (Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi, etc).
- Take on more complex responsibilities, including supporting system layouts, calculations, research, and design development with limited oversight.
- Work closely with engineering mentors, project leads, and production staff, helping maintain model health, guide coordination workflows, and reinforce TEECOM’s BIM and documentation standards.
- Support fast-paced coordination cycles, identify risks early, and help teams maintain clarity and alignment across models, markups, and deliverables.
- Contribute to TEECOM’s documentation system by refining workflows, improving modeling standards, and supporting updates in GitHub based on lessons learned from project experience.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent technical or field experience.
- 4+ years of experience in the AEC industry with strong proficiency in Revit, coordinated modeling, and construction documentation across multiple projects, including exposure to coordination processes or field related activities.
- Ability to maintain model health at a senior production level, including workset management, view template application, warning resolution, and model cleanup.
- Ability to manage and maintain coordinated models, produce accurate drawings with minimal oversight, and resolve production issues independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage workloads across several projects, lead coordination efforts, and support engineers and project leads.
- Solid technical understanding of technology systems and engineering principles; ability to perform calculations, conduct product research, and contribute to design development with limited guidance.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.
Nice to Have
- Experience delivering technology system designs (Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi, and other technology disciplines) and supporting engineering tasks such as calculations, device layouts, and specification development.
- Experience leading BIM coordination efforts, including clash detection, model review, and cross-discipline resolution.
Additional Information
- Prolonged desk work using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
- Regular reading, writing, and communication in virtual and in-person settings.
- Occasional travel to client sites for meetings, surveys, or inspections.
- Site walks may require standing or walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, and navigating construction or utility areas.
- Field activities may involve bending, kneeling, or maneuvering in confined spaces.
- May occasionally lift or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Approximately 75% of work is performed in a remote or office environment using standard office equipment.
- Approximately 25% occurs at client sites, including construction environments and existing facilities.
- Construction sites may include exposure to elevated noise levels, dust, uneven or unfinished walking surfaces, variable lighting conditions, and active construction operations.
- Utility rooms and similar spaces may have restricted access or may not fully comply with ADA accessibility standards.
