FICO (NYSE: FICO) is hiring a Technology Transactions Attorney for its dynamic and growing legal team. In this role, you will draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements to support business objectives and protect the company from contract liabilities.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, negotiate, and translate a variety of agreements, including sales, service, subcontract, software, procurement, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Review contract terms such as limitation of liability, intellectual property indemnity, license grants, and warranty, revising them to align with FICO policies.
- Support sales and business teams on opportunities, including the RFP process and securing approvals for contract terms.
- Coordinate contract review across product, services, and finance departments to support internal clients.
- Assist with contract template revisions, interpretation, and translation as requested.
- Protect FICO from unnecessary contract liabilities, damages, and penalties.
- Identify red flag risk areas and work with business teams to seek appropriate approvals.
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in any jurisdiction.
- Experience in software licensing, preferably within a corporate legal department.
- Strong analytical and contract formation, preparation, drafting, review, management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify key risk and policy issues in any transactional situation.
- Basic understanding of United States software intellectual property law and practices.
