Ameriprise Financial is hiring a Technology Intern for a 10-week summer program. You’ll join a collaborative and inclusive environment, working on real-life projects that contribute to team goals and deliver technology solutions. This role provides exposure to leaders, impactful work, and a chance to network while building a meaningful career foundation.
What You'll Do
- Gain exposure to Ameriprise tools, applications, and software.
- Contribute to team goals and deliver projects and technology solutions.
- Define business requirements.
- Develop, document, test, and modify new or existing code.
- Develop working knowledge of Ameriprise systems, processes, data, and vendor tools.
- Learn and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to the development life cycle.
- Learn new programming languages.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies.
What We're Looking For
- Current Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Information Technology Infrastructure, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 2027.
- Interest in gaining broad experience in Technology.
Nice to Have
- High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics.
- Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior classroom or project experience with software development, programming, or coding.

Team & Environment
You will join the Global Technology team, working within the broader Technology organization. This role involves presenting to Technology leadership and reporting to the Technology leadership team.
