About the Role

Responsibilities
- Support mechanical design projects from concept through production
- Assist in creating 3D models and technical drawings
- Conduct prototype assembly and testing procedures
- Collect and interpret test data for performance evaluation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development
- Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures
- Maintain accurate documentation of test results and design changes
- Use CAD software to modify and update designs
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in lab and production environments
- Participate in design reviews and engineering change processes
- Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards
- Support thermal, structural, and vibration testing activities
- Work with materials and manufacturing methods for component selection
- Assist in qualification and validation of new products
- Monitor production line performance and recommend improvements
- Provide technical support during product ramp-up phases
- Utilize measurement tools and instruments for precision checks
- Follow engineering best practices and quality procedures
- Assist in failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
- Interface with vendors and suppliers for component specifications
- Support cost reduction initiatives through design optimization
- Maintain lab equipment and test setups
- Stay current with emerging mechanical engineering technologies
- Escalate technical challenges to senior engineering staff
