RTX Corporation was looking for a Technical Writer – Manufacturing Procedures

RTX Corporation is hiring a Technical Writer – Manufacturing Procedures to join a team dedicated to precision and excellence in aerospace manufacturing. You will play a central role in ensuring our manufacturing documentation is accurate, clear, and effective, directly supporting the creation of the world's most advanced aircraft engines.

What You'll Do

  • Review, analyze, and revise Manufacturing Operation Procedures (MOPs) and Work Instructions (MOWIs) to ensure full alignment with current manufacturing processes.
  • Review, analyze, and revise MOPs and MOWIs to produce clear, precise instructions with no ambiguity.
  • Review, analyze, and revise MOPs and MOWIs to ensure concise content with no unnecessary or redundant information.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to validate process accuracy and applicability.
  • Standardize the structure, format, and language used across all manufacturing documentation.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a structured document archiving system, including document classification, version control, and accessibility.
  • Ensure consistency and coherence across all procedures and work instructions.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks related to unclear or outdated documentation and propose improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to documentation quality and compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Ability to work on-site in the province where hired.
  • Minimum 5 years experience writing and structuring operational documentation, following best practices in technical communication (STC, tekom, CIDM or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing within a manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environment.
  • Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of certified environments (e.g., quality, compliance, internal standards).
  • Experience with document management systems (DMS), SharePoint, and Microsoft Word.
  • Understanding of operational issues in a manufacturing environment.
