The Technical Writer will create, revise, and maintain detailed documentation, including process guides, reference materials, and web content. This role involves transforming technical data into well-structured, user-friendly formats for both technical and general audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, revise, and format technical documentation, including procedures, forms, and user guides
- Develop and update web-based content using HTML and JavaScript
- Research and interpret technical source material from subject matter experts
- Ensure all content meets internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct audience analysis to tailor communication for different user groups
- Contribute to the development of documentation standards and style practices
- Upload and manage content in Open Text Content Management System
- Review and edit documentation produced by others for clarity and consistency
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in technical writing and publishing
- Proven experience with Open Text CMS for publishing procedures and reference documents
- Strong editing skills with adherence to established style guides
- Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and web-based publishing tools
- Ability to interpret technical information and reframe it for varied audiences
- Onsite availability in Minneapolis is required
- Must be able to provide writing samples upon request
