Tanium is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to serve customers by resolving technical issues and answering questions. You will focus on improving overall customer satisfaction through both reactive and proactive work, reporting to a Support Manager.
What You'll Do
- Triage inbound support cases.
- Solve customer support cases.
- Work with other Support Engineers to assist with their assigned cases.
- Answer customer questions in the Tanium community site.
- Document best practices.
- Track activity, document root cause, and report.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert, focusing mostly on testing and troubleshooting.
- Test Tanium and provide feedback to Engineering teams to improve customer experience.
What We're Looking For
- Associates degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of career experience with solid technical skills in one or more areas: networking, security, operations, scripting, and/or programming.
- Ability to master new concepts and technologies; continually striving to master the Tanium platform and modules.
- Problem-solving skills; can break problems down into manageable, ordered piece parts.
- Aptitude for comprehending complex troubleshooting.
- Good judgement; understand the importance of weighing cost and value in decision making.
- Independent; able to work on problems and complete tasks with limited assistance.
Nice to Have
- BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar experience.
- Prior experience and breadth of knowledge needed to support customers.
- Hands-on Tanium experience.
- Relevant technical certifications (Google IT Support Professional Certificate, CISSP, MCSE, A+/Security+/Network+ combined, etc.).
- Experience in one or more of these technical domains: Endpoint Security, Endpoint Support/Troubleshooting, Incident Response, Systems Management, Utility Scripting (bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python).
