Arista Networks is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to join our customer support team. In this role, you will provide direct technical support for the full suite of Arista products and network protocols, working directly with customers to resolve complex issues in their environments and contributing insights to product development.
What You'll Do
- Respond to customer product inquiries via telephone and written communication.
- Resolve customer concerns related to installation, operation, maintenance, and product application or compatibility.
- Troubleshoot problems with hardware and software applications and recommend corrective action.
- Document customer communication and recurring technical issues to support product quality programs and development.
What We're Looking For
- A working knowledge of the networking industry, products, and protocols.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging, and administering network protocols and technologies (e.g., BGP, OSPF, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN, MPLS).
- A minimum of an MS in a technical field (CS, EE, or ITP preferred).
Nice to Have
- Experience with troubleshooting tools such as IXIA, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
- A strong comfort level with Linux.
- Familiarity with programming/scripting (C++, Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, shell), Cloud Environment, or Automation.
- Industry certifications.
- Prior TAC (Technical Assistance Center) experience.

Team & Environment
You will work in a non-siloed environment supporting all Arista products, directly interfacing with customers and, when necessary, software and hardware development teams. The TSE team performs all their own recreations in a dedicated lab environment.
