Xero is looking for a Technical Senior Product Manager to join on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you will own the product vision and strategy for our internal Engineering Experience, focusing on platforms and tools that enable our engineering teams to build and deliver with high quality and velocity.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute the product roadmap for the Engineering Experience domain
- Partner with engineering teams to deeply understand their challenges and opportunities
- Translate complex technical and business requirements into clear, prioritized product initiatives
- Lead discovery and delivery cycles for internal developer tools and platforms
- Measure and communicate the impact of your product area on engineering productivity and satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a technical product management role, preferably focused on developer or engineering tools
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, platform engineering, and modern development practices
- Ability to build credibility with senior engineers and technical leaders
- Experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, and success metrics for complex technical domains
- Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences

This role offers a hybrid work model and is open to candidates in Auckland, Wellington, or Remote within New Zealand.
