Juul Labs is hiring a Technical Project Manager to drive factory readiness for mass-manufacturing high-quality products. This is a highly visible role within a growing technical project management group, where you will support the NPI process development and high-volume production solutions, synthesizing program information for senior management and ensuring on-time delivery within budget.
What You'll Do
- Synthesize information on product and factory readiness, trade-offs, and milestone impacts into concise communications for Senior Management.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, clearly managing and communicating deviations from the plan.
- Work with engineering teams through the development cycle to ensure designs are robust and manufacturable in high volumes.
- Work with CapEx, Fixture, and Factory teams to ensure fixtures, test stations, SOPs, and operator training are ready for builds.
- Lead cross-functional supply chain activities for operational readiness across all NPI phases leading into Mass Production.
- Develop timelines and budgets for NPI and Sustaining projects and report on key metrics bi-weekly.
- Collaborate with Suppliers and Engineering teams to develop manufacturing processes, implementation schedules, and validation plans.
- Drive resolution of project technical and operational issues with material, process, fixtures, and equipment during NPI.
- Understand and drive DOEs, FMEAs, and other industry-standard tools to identify risks and optimize process parameters.
- Lead the establishment of Quality programs and Manufacturing Process Control Plans for early issue detection and high quality.
- Act as Supply Chain technical lead in communicating project readiness and identifying risks.
- Be responsible for a product line, working with cross-functional NPI teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers for technical readiness.
- Understand technical aspects of the product and supply chain, synthesize feedback from manufacturing partners, and drive recommendations.
- Identify technical challenges and review new product and process designs to ensure scalability.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in high-volume consumer electronics product ramp, manufacturing engineering, medical device, process development, sustaining, NPI, quality, manufacturing automation, and/or testing.
- Excellent project management skills with a strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in many of the following methodologies: DFM, FMEA, SPC, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, quality and Process Control.
- Experience resolving complex technical and infrastructure problems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficient with data analysis and effective summary for data-driven decision making.
- Ability to make accountable decisions with limited information in high-pressure, time-limited situations.
- Detail orientation with a strong quality mindset and enjoyment of a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all business levels and functions, both internally and at vendors.
- Experience delivering New Product Introduction, manufacturing ramp up, and consumer or medical device electronic products.
- Experience working with international Contract Manufacturing partners specializing in factory operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
- Ability to travel internationally to China, other parts of Asia, and the USA: 20-30% travel.

- Compensation ranges vary by tier: Tier 1: $127,000 - $159,000; Tier 2: $116,000 - $145,000; Tier 3: $109,000 - $136,000; Tier 4: $99,000 - $124,000.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid position, open to remote candidates. Ideal candidates are located in Nashville or Cookeville, TN, Minneapolis MN, or the SF Bay Area.
