Responsibilities
- Develop new business in the aerospace and defense markets and serve as the regional point of contact for market developments in Eastern Europe, including Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Ukraine.
- Lead the creation of new business, identify new product opportunities, and manage design-in activities with strategic customers, either directly or by supporting the sales team and distribution partners.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders at strategic customer organizations and within the industry.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, sales teams, field application engineers, and product development to drive business growth.
- Create and deliver product and application presentations to existing and potential customers, demonstrating value propositions and expertise in interconnect technologies.
- Identify opportunities to expand the product portfolio.
- Provide structured market and competitive intelligence, as well as capture the voice of the customer.
- Contribute input and present proposals for new products and related technologies.
- Coordinate and program-manage the execution of new product development and growth initiatives.
- Master the sales opportunity management process according to the CRM system and reporting practices.
Requirements
- Economic or technical background, preferably with a degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or aerospace engineering.
- Five or more years of connector market experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Three or more years of business development, sales, or product management experience in connectors or a related industry.
- Familiarity with design-in, spec-in, and buying processes in the connectors or related industry.
- Proven track record of generating new business.
- Strong technical understanding.
- Demonstrated ability to directly manage customer engagements, including excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal direction.
- Hands-on, highly self-motivated, self-initiated team player with demonstrated leadership skills across functional departments.
- Organizational skills to anticipate, prioritize, plan, and organize to meet and exceed strategic objectives.
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time and engage with potential or existing customers fluent in English, located in Czech Republic or Poland where the company has a legal entity.
- Proven experience in the aerospace and defense military connector market.
