Cognizant is hiring a Technical Bid Writer to develop high-quality, persuasive tender responses for strategic UK Public Sector opportunities. You will play a critical role in articulating complex technical solutions clearly and in alignment with government procurement requirements.
What You'll Do
- Craft clear, compliant, and compelling content for bids, tenders, RFPs, RFIs, and PQQs.
- Translate complex technical and delivery inputs into accessible, evaluator-focused narratives.
- Ensure alignment with key UK Government frameworks including G-Cloud, DOS, DPS, RM6263, and Defence procurement routes.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Delivery teams, Service Lines and SMEs on content planning, win theme and value proposition development.
- Edit, refine, and proofread content for clarity, consistency, coherence, and impact.
- Maintain a library of reusable content and enhance content quality through continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to incorporate visuals, diagrams, and infographics where appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional writing, editing and structure building skills with the ability to present complex information simply and persuasively.
- Proven experience as a Bid Writer, Technical Writer, or Proposal Writer, with experience in Public Sector and technology domains.
- Strong understanding of UK Government procurement processes and frameworks.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into concise, compelling content.
- Strong interviewing and information-gathering skills to extract insights from SMEs.
- Confidence working in fast-paced, deadline driven bid environments.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice to Have
- APMP certification or equivalent.
- SC clearance eligibility.
Team & Environment
Part of the UK Public Sector Bid Management team, working closely with Bid colleagues, Solution Architects, Delivery Leaders, SMEs, Sales, and the wider Pursuit team.
