Climate Bonds Initiative is hiring a Technical Assistance Senior Analyst to deliver technical projects that support clients in developing sustainable debt markets, with a primary focus on the UK. You will be part of our Capacity Building and Technical Assistance (CBTA) team, which works globally to grow the market for green and transition finance.
What You'll Do
- Lead or support the technical delivery of assistance projects, applying knowledge of taxonomies and international standards for sustainable activities.
- Conduct market research and develop reports on the sustainable debt market, including regulations, trends, and financing innovations.
- Liaise with internal Standards and Certification teams to ensure correct application of CBI’s frameworks.
- Coordinate with colleagues and external stakeholders on the application of regional and local taxonomies.
- Support budget management and other administrative tasks.
- Deliver trainings and presentations as needed.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree in finance, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills in English and one other preferred language.
- At least 5 years of experience in investing, financing, policy design, or taxonomy design.
- Knowledge of finance, capital markets, and bond issuances.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and exercise good judgment.
- A creative, organized, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Collaborative and efficient style for working across teams.
- Self-motivation and flexibility.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel for work.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience in issuing a bond.
- Previous experience in Technical Assistance or project management.
