Nordex SE is hiring a Technical Advisor - Wind Turbine Installations to provide critical on-site expertise for our clean energy projects. In this role, you will be a key partner in ensuring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance and quality standards throughout the wind turbine installation and finishing process, directly advising the client's Balance of Plant (BOP) contractor.
What You'll Do
- Proactively ensure HSE compliance throughout the WTG installation and finishing process, reporting any deviations.
- Advise the client's BOP contractor to adhere to Nordex quality standards for a smooth handover to commissioning, customer, and service teams.
- Leverage deep technical knowledge to provide general support on all mechanical and electrical activities of the client's BOP contractor and Nordex contractors.
- Document and report any quality or timeline deviations noticed during WTG/WF installation, finishing, and commissioning work using the UPVISE system.
- Ensure all mechanical work is executed per installation instructions and tooling maintenance requirements, reporting any deviations.
- Oversee the receipt, use, and return of Nordex tooling, ensuring it is properly used and maintained throughout the project.
- Perform various quality inspections and checks such as incoming goods, quality gate, and customer walk-throughs to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
- Assist in managing the documentation required for handover to the client and BOP contractor.
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the client's BOP contractor to facilitate successful project execution.
- Actively manage daily UPVISE progress reports, providing live updates on supervised activities.
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related discipline, or accepted equivalent work experience.
- Experience in quality management and control processes.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in mechanical, electrical, or construction fields.
- Required experience in on-site WTG assembly.
- Excellent technical knowledge, communication skills, and ability to build positive relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Must be able to work in Canada without company sponsorship and have the ability to obtain a US passport.
- Over 80% travel required.
- Ability to spend 100% of time in wind farms during the construction process.
- Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy.
- Ability to meet the weight requirement of 120 kg (265 lbs) or less to safely use climbing and lifting equipment.
- Ability to successfully satisfy all Canadian regulatory laws regarding pre-employment screening requirements.
Nice to Have
- Wind turbine assembly experience is preferred.
- Mechanical construction experience on wind farms is preferred.
- Proficiency in French is strongly preferred for work in Québec.

Work Mode
This is an onsite position based in Québec, Canada, requiring extensive travel to wind farm construction sites.
