Wellhub is hiring a Tech Lead Frontend Software Engineer for our Explore team in Brazil. In this remote role, you will oversee a team of software engineers, ensure delivery quality, participate in architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with product management. You will also perform key management tasks like mentoring, performance reviews, and fostering a culture of ownership and wellbeing.
What You'll Do
- Develop parts of features, dedicating 30% to 50% of your time to hands-on coding, often in pair programming.
- Ensure systems reliability and monitoring, fostering team ownership and keeping team SLOs under budget.
- Manage technical debt and the engineering backlog.
- Set up experiments to test improvements.
- Ensure successful deliveries and promote the long-term technical health of our journeys.
- Ensure a high bar on code quality standards.
- Work in a collaborative, agile environment that prioritizes people over process.
- Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in production.
- Help the engineering team grow in their careers.

What We're Looking For
- Experience in mobile development.
- Experience working with modern agile product development teams.
- Versed in working with TypeScript.
- Experience with React Native.
- Familiar with working with BFF (Backend for Frontend).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Well-developed communication skills for groups and multidisciplinary teams across countries and cultures.
- Can articulate ideas clearly when speaking to groups in English.
- Can perform management tasks such as mentoring, facilitating, and conducting regular one-on-ones.
- Prior experience as a Frontend Engineer and in Tech Lead positions are mandatory.
Nice to Have
- Experience with the React ecosystem.
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Experience with the Firebase ecosystem (Custom events, remote configs, Crashlytics).
- Experience with Design Systems and common UX patterns.
- Experience with accessibility on mobile.
