Responsibilities
- Spend 30% to 50% of your time developing features, often through pair programming sessions
- Ensure system reliability by maintaining monitoring practices, managing SLOs, and fostering team ownership of operational health
- Oversee technical debt and manage the engineering backlog to maintain long-term code sustainability
- Design and implement experiments to evaluate and validate technical or product improvements
- Drive successful project deliveries while promoting the long-term technical integrity of user journeys
- Enforce high standards for code quality, ensuring team members take pride in their work
- Collaborate in an agile environment that values people over process and emphasizes productivity
- Participate in resolving production incidents and troubleshooting live system issues

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer
- Prior experience in a Tech Lead role
- Background in mobile application development
- Experience working with agile product development teams
- Proficiency in TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with React Native
- Familiarity with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas to multidisciplinary teams across different countries and cultures
- Fluency in English, particularly when presenting to groups
- Experience performing management duties such as mentoring, facilitating one-on-ones, and supporting team members' growth and engagement
Nice to Have
- Experience working within the React ecosystem
- Knowledge of GraphQL
- Familiarity with Firebase services including custom events, remote configs, and Crashlytics
- Experience implementing and working with design systems and common UX patterns
- Understanding of mobile accessibility standards
