Tungsten Automation is looking for a Team Lead, IT Quality Assurance Engineer to play a critical role in executing our technology roadmap. In this player-coach role, you'll balance leadership with hands-on technical work to ensure the strategic direction and daily execution of our quality assurance activities are delivered with excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-impact team of QA engineers.
- Perform hands-on testing and automation work, including test case development, execution, and scripting.
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of test strategies across functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Drive the adoption and enhancement of test automation frameworks and reusable test assets.
- Ensure high-quality test documentation including plans, cases, scripts, and traceability artifacts.
- Define and enforce QA standards, processes, and governance measures across delivery teams.
- Lead root-cause analysis for defects, incidents, and recurring quality issues.
- Partner closely with IT delivery teams and business stakeholders to ensure test coverage and alignment.
- Leverage AI testing solutions to elevate the QA practice.
- Enhance and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance.
- Validate complex integrations, data flows, and system behaviors across environments.
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, release planning, and design discussions.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of testing status, risks, and quality metrics.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage team workload, resource allocation, and prioritization across multiple projects.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, cross-training, and adoption of best practices.
- Identify and implement improvements to QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Champion modern testing approaches like shift-left, risk-based, and exploratory testing.
- Stay current on emerging QA technologies, automation tools, and industry best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of professional QA engineering experience, including both manual and automated testing.
- Proven experience in an IT QA Lead or similar role, focusing on end-to-end quality assurance for business systems.
- In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, defect tracking systems, SDLC frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum), and quality governance.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, and Postman.
- Experience using CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps and GitHub for testing and automation pipelines.
- Solid understanding of API testing, data validation, integration testing, and performance testing concepts.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test plans, cases, and scripts, plus automation and scripting languages like Python and C#.
- Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple integrations and systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, and custom applications.
- Strong grasp of cloud-based application testing and modern architectures (APIs, microservices, containers).
- Familiarity with QA tools such as Azure DevOps, TestRail, and qTest.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating technical concepts.
- Experience with designing, deploying, and scaling AI testing solutions in the QA domain.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, ethics, and data governance.
