Braze is partnering with Correlation One to add a Teaching Assistant: Cloud Support Specialist to its Expert Network, supporting virtual training programs. In this role, you will provide critical synchronous and asynchronous support to approximately 25-30 Learners, helping them expand their careers in technical fields.
What You'll Do
- Attend and proactively engage in mandatory Pre-Program TA Onboarding.
- Monitor Slack channels (#c1-TA, #live-chat, #extra-help) for Learner questions and answer them promptly.
- Check in with Learners after each live session to gauge their understanding.
- Facilitate breakout rooms during lecture time, when applicable.
- Assist in keeping sessions progressing should the Lead Instructor experience technical difficulty.
- On days with no live sessions, monitor Slack channels and answer Learner questions within 24 hours.
- Foster discussion by posing questions and sharing relevant links in Slack.
- Use the #c1-TA channel to share important information with Correlation One staff.
- Review content materials for the next lecture to ensure preparedness.
- Hold up to six (6) Individual Office Hours via Zoom with Learners.
- Grade Learner submissions of exercises and projects within seven (7) days of submission.
- Support continuous program improvement by providing thoughtful feedback via Weekly Write Ups.
- Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week’s accomplishments and challenges by Sunday at 8:00pm ET.
- Attend and participate in the weekly staff meeting with Correlation One team and other Expert Network staff.
- Attend all scheduled meetings with your camera on, ensuring active engagement and professional presence.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of professional work experience in Cloud Support, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, Networking, DevOps, or a related field.
- A desire to support students in expanding their careers in technical roles.
- Empathy, flexibility, patience; passion for working with diverse learners who are new to the content.
- Outstanding team and people management skills; exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to understand and use new learning and content management systems.
Nice to Have
- Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Linux+.
