Minneapolis Public Schools is looking for a Teacher, Speech Language Pathologist to provide a complete array of services to students with identified communication problems. This role serves students whose primary disability is speech-language impairment and those with other primary disabilities who have communication needs. This is a candidate pool for the 2026-2027 school year.
What You'll Do
- Provide pre-referral consultation to general and special education teachers.
- Manage cases for students with speech-language impairments only.
- Ensure due process compliance, manage third-party billing, and complete program data collection and funding reports.
- Conduct comprehensive initial and reevaluations for all types of communication disabilities.
- Develop standard-referred IEPs and IIPs (intervention that supports literacy and other standards).
- Deliver direct intervention services to students in the least restrictive environment, including classroom-based service.
- Provide indirect intervention and consultative services to teams, teachers, and parents.
- Perform other site-based and special education duties, including support of district literacy goals.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s Degree in communication disorders.
- A valid Minnesota teaching license in Speech-Language Pathology.
Nice to Have
- ASHA Certification preferred.
