Willapa Behavioral Health and Wellness is hiring a Mental Health Therapist to provide professional services in a community setting. You will perform assessments and treatment, conduct community outreach to individuals and groups, and deliver care in a culturally competent manner aligned with best practices.
What You'll Do
- Provide best-practice, client-centered treatment within agency philosophy and state/county guidelines.
- Assist clients in developing Recovery Plans, identifying goals, objectives, strengths, and treatment modes.
- Provide face-to-face contact with consumers, families, and community supports, with virtual appointments available per client request.
- Plan, implement, and coordinate treatment to support client mental health.
- Participate in required clinical, planning, staff, and administrative meetings.
- Engage in liaison activities with other agency programs and community agencies.
- Utilize available training to continue growth and development of clinical skills.
- Provide client-centered care and maintain the highest standards of dignity and respect when interacting with clients, staff, and community partners.
What We're Looking For
- B.A. degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, and certification as a mental health professional.
- A minimum of at least 2 years postgraduate experience in the mental health field.
- Experience in providing counseling services to individuals and groups.
- Able to maintain good rapport with co-workers.
- Demonstrated competency in working with people with mental illness.
- Demonstrated ability to do differential diagnosis using DSM-V.
- Knowledge of and skill with using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Ability to do crisis intervention and ITA investigation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency to document in an EMR and utilize telehealth and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to undergo and pass a criminal background check upon initial employment and any subsequent checks.
- Meet requirements of the agency’s drug-free workplace policy.
- Excellent customer service with a client focus.
- Able to sit, stand, and move for long hours at a time and lift up to 25 pounds.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Able to drive in daylight, darkness, and typical Northwest weather conditions.
- Flexible to fill-in shifts if needed.
- Meet the current Washington health care vaccination requirements for health care workers.
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field.

You will be part of the Clinical Services department, reporting to the Clinical Director or Clinical Supervisor.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $27.00-$33.00 hourly
