Minneapolis Public Schools is hiring an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher to deliver quality instruction aligned to state and national standards. You will join a team dedicated to engaging young learners through rigorous, inquiry-based learning.
What You'll Do
- Implement the Minnesota State Standards and District Graduation Requirements.
- Teach required curricula using strategies that foster thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with peers to develop, plan, and implement best practices based on student needs.
- Assess students' developmental, cognitive, and social needs to provide developmentally appropriate instruction.
- Create safe, respectful, and interesting learning environments that are multicultural and ability-fair.
- Collaborate and communicate regularly with families, using community resources to support learning.
- Support and achieve District and site school goals through the District Improvement Agenda.
- Assess instructional effectiveness through the Professional Development Process (PDP) and engage in ongoing professional development.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
Nice to Have
- Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting.
- Demonstrated continued professional development through coursework, research, peer collaboration, or job-embedded staff development.
