Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a TCP Permit Specialist to join our team. This fully remote role is for a detail-oriented specialist who will prepare permit applications and design traffic control plans that align with municipal requirements. It's ideal for someone with a collaborative mindset, offering growth within telecom and civil drafting while supporting essential infrastructure projects across various jurisdictions.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and submit permit applications based on engineering work prints and project descriptions.
- Design traffic control plans that comply with local municipal and state regulations.
- Analyze and update designs to meet client needs, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Perform research using Google Earth, GIS, and public records to gather mapping and location data.
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to obtain relevant drawings and documentation.
- Create and maintain permit drawings for new projects or updates, supporting a wide range of utility and telecom initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple drafting tasks simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and mapping tools such as GIS, Google Earth, and county maps.
Nice to Have
- At least 2 years of AutoCAD experience.
- Familiarity with civil and telecom drafting, including reading blueprints and civil plans.
- Knowledge of outside plant telecom, ROW permitting, easements, and underground utility layouts.
- Relevant technical training or experience.
