Lead tax engagements for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across federal and multi-state income tax returns. Conduct in-depth technical research and draft clear, professional correspondence to support client positions and planning strategies.
Leadership & Client Management
- Supervise, mentor, and develop teams of tax professionals, guiding staff, seniors, and managers through complex engagements
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and workflow to maintain efficiency and high-quality deliverables
- Manage engagement budgets, billing processes, and resource allocation
- Act as primary point of contact for clients, advising on income tax matters and proactive planning opportunities
- Strengthen relationships with current clients and support business development with prospective ones
Requirements
Candidates must have at least 10 years of recent, hands-on tax experience and hold either a CPA license or Juris Doctor degree. Proven ability to manage mid-sized to large client engagements is essential, along with strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Experience with tax preparation platforms such as GoSystem and financial analysis tools is required.
Preferred background includes deep knowledge of flow-through entity taxation, including partnerships and LLCs, with private equity experience a plus. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering precise, high-quality work.
