Anrok is hiring a Tax Operations, Registrations

About the Role

Anrok is looking for a Tax Operations Registrations Associate to drive efficiency and accuracy in our tax processes. You'll partner with internal Tax and Engineering teams to own regulatory compliance, work with customers and government agencies, and improve automation. We're tackling a key challenge for all Internet businesses today: navigating the changing landscape of tax to enable compliant digital commerce.

What You'll Do

  • Become an expert on Anrok’s registrations and license renewals process and engage with state and local jurisdictions as needed.
  • Complete sales tax registrations and licensing on behalf of customers, requiring great attention to detail and communication.
  • Analyze current processes around sales tax registrations to identify areas for streamlining and/or automation and partner with Tax, Engineering, and Product to implement improvements.
  • Support performance analysis and roadmap for ad hoc projects related to sales tax.
  • Triage and respond to customer inquiries regarding registrations, licensing, and tax returns.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in Operations.
  • Excel at taking ownership of complex projects and driving them to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enjoy engaging with customers and stakeholders and take a proactive position when solving challenging problems.
  • Use data to make informed decisions and present findings to your broader team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with government and regulatory compliance (e.g., tax registration, payroll tax management, licensing, audits, grants management).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid position open to candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area or Salt Lake City.
