Honeywell is seeking a Tax Manager to join our team. In this role reporting to the Senior Director of Tax Operations, you will work cross-functionally to develop and drive tax strategies, maximize cash planning, ensure compliance, and minimize liabilities. Your work will involve communicating complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and monitoring financial results.
What You'll Do
- Drive tax strategies to minimize cash tax by maximizing the Research and Development credit and other Canadian tax opportunities
- Develop Annual Operating Plan effective tax rate and monitor and report current year impacts
- Lead inputs that support amounts and timing of cash tax payments
- Lead balance sheet inputs related to Current and Deferred income tax balances
- Support the filing of various corporate tax returns with external advisors, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Stay current with changes in tax legislation and regulations, assessing their impact
- Collaborate with both the internal Aerospace Tax Department and external tax advisors to address specific tax issues
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax management
- Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Eligibility for CGP clearance (controlled goods program)
Nice to Have
- CPA or equivalent certification
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with tax software and ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
