Pennant Services is seeking a meticulous Tax Associate to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and timely withholding and reporting of all federal, state, and local taxes. You will play a key part in maintaining compliance, preparing returns, and supporting our financial and operational goals.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review tax returns, including sales and use tax, for accuracy and timely submission.
- Ensure the company complies with all applicable federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare reports, schedules, and other documentation related to tax compliance.
- Research and analyze tax issues, including changes in tax law, to identify potential impacts and opportunities.
- Analyze financial data to identify tax liabilities, risks, and potential savings.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, as well as external advisors.
- Assist in resolving tax audits and notices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tax compliance and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience in accounting or tax compliance.
- Excellent organizational, communication, research, and writing skills.
- Strong computer skills.
