Fidelis Cybersecurity, Inc. is looking for a Tax Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. In this role, you will focus on tax compliance, reporting, audits, and research, while collaborating with external advisors and analyzing the tax implications of business initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review all sales and use tax returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax documents.
- Manage tax provisions and related disclosures in financial statements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual tax estimates.
- Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Prepare responses to tax notices and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company.
- Analyze the tax impact of new investment opportunities and business initiatives.
- Assist in implementing Avalara as part of Intacct.
- Lead or support ad hoc projects.
- Crosstrain and back up other team members when necessary.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience in filing sales tax returns with software tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with Avalara.
