About the Role

pawaPay is hiring a Talent Lead to be an integral part of our People and Talent team. In this role, you will help create and drive the delivery of our Talent strategy as we scale, working hand-in-hand with leaders to bring A-players into the company.

What You'll Do

  • Immerse yourself in our mission, product, and growth plans to anticipate talent needs and spot opportunities early.
  • Build creative sourcing strategies, engage passive talent, and tell our story in a way that gets people excited to join us.
  • Leverage our ATS and use the right tools to streamline hiring, track engagement, and create a smooth, human candidate journey from hello to offer.
  • Build the capability of our managers to recruit effectively and carry out high-impact interviews.
  • Ensure every touchpoint with candidates reflects our culture, values, and pace.
  • Improve and evolve our operational and strategic talent processes.
  • In partnership with the People Operations Lead, manage contracts across multiple geographies, balancing local compliance with a smooth employee experience.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of pawaPay’s employment brand and related content and network engagement.
  • Be a thought partner around best-in-class talent attraction and selection.
  • Effectively use data to help drive our decision making across People and Talent.
  • Provide delivery in-country expertise as relevant, for example for supporting local payroll implementation or new contract management.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience in building and executing creative sourcing strategies across channels, especially for hard-to-fill or niche roles.
  • Clear, concise, and engaging communication style.
  • Expertise and experience using an ATS (Greenhouse), talent CRM, plus other sourcing and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrable experience streamlining and improving recruiting and people processes that scale with the business.
  • Experience building successful working practices in a distributed environment, including comfort navigating multiple geographies, local employment nuances, and remote-first working styles.
  • An ability to provide high-quality candidate feedback and outcomes with clarity.
  • Fluent English.
  • Success in working in a fast-paced, highly autonomous and accountable culture with a strongly proactive drive to achieve.
  • Demonstrable passion for enabling a working environment that provides the tools, structures and behaviours for people to do their best work.
