Uptalent.io is looking for a Talent Acquisition & Engagement Specialist to build ‘always-ready’ candidate pipelines, engage passive and active talent, and drive our hiring process. You will own recruitment end-to-end, implement AI-powered solutions, and lay the foundation for our expanding HR team.
What You'll Do
- Continuously source and pre-qualify candidates across all disciplines.
- Present 3–5 top candidates within few days of requisition.
- Build rapport through clear, empathetic communication.
- Conduct high-volume screening interviews, reading beyond resumes.
- Design and refine workflows for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offers.
- Track and report on KPIs: time-to-fill, pipeline conversion, candidate satisfaction, offer-acceptance rates.
- Identify, deploy, and iterate on AI tools (resume parsing, chatbots, outreach automation) to boost efficiency.
- Map LATAM talent markets by discipline.
- Cultivate medium-/long-term sourcing channels: universities, communities, niche platforms.
- Act as the HR 'quarterback' today, with responsibility to hire and mentor a recruitment team as we scale.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years in full-cycle recruitment (agency, B2B, or high-growth startup).
- Proven track record building & maintaining proactive pipelines across ≥3 disciplines.
- Hands-on rapid-response hiring: delivering candidate slates fast.
- Demonstrated negotiation success and strong offer-acceptance rates.
- KPI-driven mindset: experience reducing time-to-fill, boosting conversion, improving NPS.
- Entrepreneurial autonomy: you own projects end-to-end.
- Advanced sourcing: Boolean, social recruiting, community outreach, referral networks.
- Empathy & persuasion: you connect with candidates and address concerns.
- Gut-feel screening: you see beyond the cv to the person.
- AI literacy: you evaluate, implement, and optimize AI tools.
- Data-orientation: strong ATS reporting, Excel/Sheets proficiency.
- Negotiation finesse: closing offers while preserving margin.
- Multitasking under pressure: thriving on high-volume requisitions.
- Rapid learning agility: mastering nuances across disciplines.
- Fluent English, verbal and written.
