About the Role

Hatch is looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to fill a dual-role position critical to our talent strategy. You'll coordinate end-to-end recruitment operations and manage the full student bursary lifecycle, supporting both immediate hiring needs and long-term talent pipeline development.

What You'll Do

  • Open and manage requisitions in our ATS; post roles to job boards and social channels; maintain talent pools and pipelines.
  • Coordinate interviews across time zones, manage assessments, organize panel interviews, and candidate travel.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates; ensure timely communication and status updates; support offer logistics and pre-boarding.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and ensure compliance with POPIA and internal retention policies.
  • Coordinate psychometric testing, technical assessments, background checks, and references with approved vendors.
  • Produce weekly dashboards covering metrics like time-to-fill, pipeline health, source-of-hire, candidate NPS, and DEI progress.
  • Assist with careers page updates, talent marketing content, recruitment events, and campus engagements.
  • Liaise with agencies, job boards, and interview panels; track recruitment spend versus budget.
  • Manage bursary budgets, forecasts, and disbursements for tuition, accommodation, textbooks, and stipends; track spend and variances monthly.
  • Run bursary application cycles, shortlist candidates, schedule interviews, coordinate academic verification, and maintain fair, auditable processes.
  • Partner with universities and internal line managers to align bursary fields of study with workforce planning.
  • Maintain accurate records for internal and external audits; ensure documentation meets B‑BBEE verification and SETA reporting requirements.
  • Onboard bursars; track academic performance; coordinate mentorships, vacation work, work-integrated learning (WIL), and absorption pathways.
  • Prepare bursary agreements, manage renewals and terminations, and ensure adherence to milestones and service commitments.

This role is part of the Shared Services group, which includes Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal, and Facilities.
