Signers National is hiring a Tableau Developer to build business intelligence solutions that enhance our operational processes. You will generate and maintain dashboard reports, design scalable data sources, and effectively communicate insights across technical and non-technical audiences.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Tableau reports for scalability, performance, and re-use.
- Collaborate with team members to create reports and dashboards that provide insight, automate processes, and add organizational value.
- Design and maintain scalable data sources, including SQL, cloud-based, and Excel.
- Iterate based on feedback to deliver results meeting or exceeding user expectations.
- Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of development and style guides.
- Provide technical expertise in architecture, design, and implementation.
- Administer Tableau Cloud and maintain Tableau Bridge.
- Resolve support tickets related to Tableau reports and data sources.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience developing Tableau dashboards and data sources.
- Advanced Tableau skills, including complex LOD calculations, understanding filter operations, data blending, and flow creation.
- Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing workbook performance.
- Experience combining disparate data sources for analysis.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.
- Working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture and Tableau Bridge.
- High-level competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).
- Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.
- A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management systems, and data modeling.
- Strength in creative problem-solving, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized across multiple projects.
Nice to Have
- Property and casualty insurance experience.
- One or more Tableau certifications.
- A four-year degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
