The Systems Engineer - SaaS at Tessera Labs plays a critical role in designing, modernizing, and migrating CRM platforms within large enterprise environments. This position combines deep Salesforce technical expertise with systems engineering and enterprise integration, focusing on Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, and large-scale CRM replacement programs—particularly from Microsoft Dynamics to Salesforce—while integrating Salesforce with backend ERP systems in highly regulated environments.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, refactor, and remediate Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and configuration
- Stabilize and modernize complex, highly customized Salesforce orgs
- Rationalize data models, automation, and security to support scale and governance
- Align solutions with Salesforce architectural best practices and enterprise standards
- Lead and support CRM replacement initiatives from Microsoft Dynamics to Salesforce
- Analyze Dynamics entities, workflows, and integrations and map them to Salesforce equivalents
- Design and execute data migration strategies, including transformation, validation, and reconciliation
- Rebuild business logic, automation, and user experiences to achieve functional parity
- Support cutover planning, parallel runs, and post-migration stabilization
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and backend ERP systems such as SAP and finance platforms
- Use MuleSoft and related middleware for API-led connectivity and orchestration
- Work with REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), and ETL pipelines
- Define system-of-record boundaries, data ownership, and transactional integrity
- Design and implement Salesforce Data Cloud ingestion, harmonization, and activation patterns
- Enable Agentforce-driven workflows and intelligent agents within Salesforce-centric processes
- Integrate Salesforce data and workflows into Tessera’s multi-agent AI platform
- Support modernization efforts involving fragmented data and legacy CRM implementations
- Act as a hands-on technical contributor during enterprise CRM modernization programs
- Collaborate with architecture, integration, AI, and delivery teams
- Communicate technical risks, tradeoffs, and design decisions to executive stakeholders
- Travel to customer sites to support critical milestones
- Own production-grade solutions in regulated, mission-critical environments
- Balance speed with auditability, reliability, and long-term maintainability
- Contribute to internal best practices for CRM migration and Salesforce architecture
What We're Looking For
- 3–7+ years of experience in Salesforce systems engineering or technical consulting
- Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience
- Experience supporting CRM migration or large-scale modernization programs
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous enterprise environments
- Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences
- Willingness to travel (primarily U.S.)
Nice to Have
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progress toward CTA
- Salesforce Application Architect and/or System Architect certifications
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and Agentforce
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP systems in regulated environments
