The Principal Systems Lead Engineer will lead solution-level engineering for AI enterprise system hardware across compute, storage, and networking at Dell Technologies. This role is part of the Infrastructure Solutions Group Compute Systems Engineering (ISG CSE) team in Taipei, Taiwan, and involves architectural leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and end-to-end management of high-complexity AI products.
What You'll Do
- Engage with internal Dell team members, vendors, and technical partners across global sites to drive architectural excellence in product design.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure alignment and success.
- Oversee and coordinate development efforts across diverse engineering teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.
- Work across subsystems including hardware design for high-speed signal circuit boards, CPU & memory complexes, GPUs and accelerators, network devices and fabrics, enterprise storage arrays, direct liquid cooling solutions, AC-DC and DC-DC power architectures, Dell iDRAC systems management software, BIOS, FPGA, firmware, enterprise operating systems, and data center rack-solution designs.
- Identify and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Design and implement robust test plans to validate system performance and reliability.
- Apply strong business insights to drive strategic decisions and optimize project outcomes to meet our customers’ needs.
- Drive solution and release readiness with a closed-loop focus on best practices across portfolios and business units.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and technical partners to ensure alignment and success.
- Engage in root cause analysis and defect resolution to maintain high-quality standards.
What We're Looking For

- Educational requirements include 12 to 15 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years with a master’s degree.
