What You'll Do
Oversee the health and reliability of enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery systems operating across on-premise and government cloud platforms. Monitor and evaluate data restoration processes and DR readiness, ensuring systems can recover quickly and effectively when needed.
Lead scheduled and emergency failover operations within secure cloud environments, following established contingency plans. Document each event thoroughly and produce detailed after-action reports to guide future improvements. Conduct regular testing of disaster recovery procedures for enterprise file systems, ensuring compliance with federal standards.
Manage and fine-tune storage infrastructure, including arrays, fiber switches, and networked storage solutions. Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and routine maintenance to keep systems running efficiently. Support cybersecurity initiatives by identifying vulnerabilities and applying hardening techniques in both NIPRnet and SIPRnet environments.
Design and deploy file-sharing solutions tailored to operational needs. Troubleshoot complex storage issues across hybrid platforms and ensure high availability for mission-critical applications. Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and best practice guides for backup and storage operations.
