Prime Systems Solutions is looking for a System & Network Engineer (Level-I) to oversee, manage, and maintain IT infrastructure across multiple client environments. In this role, you will provide the technical expertise needed to ensure the seamless operation and security of both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
What You'll Do
- Administer and maintain client network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
- Manage and maintain server environments, both on-premises and in the cloud, using Windows Server and virtualization technologies.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure environments, including user management, group policies, and cloud-based services.
- Implement and maintain firewalls and VPN solutions to ensure secure remote access and data protection.
- Monitor, configure, and manage security protocols, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and anti-virus solutions.
- Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and patch management to ensure compliance with security best practices.
- Work with clients to develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for system, network, and application issues.
- Use remote management tools to diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot problems across various client environments, ranging from simple desktop issues to complex network problems.
- Administer VMWare environments, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of virtual servers.
- Provide expertise in cloud services, particularly Azure, to support client needs for scalable and resilient infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide effective IT solutions and support.
- Utilize ticketing systems to track, manage, and resolve support requests in an organized and timely manner.
- Ensure proper documentation of all configurations, troubleshooting efforts, and solutions.
- Proactively monitor network and system performance using monitoring tools to detect and resolve potential issues.
- Provide regular reports on system performance, uptime, and security incidents to management and clients.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience as a System and Network Administrator, with a proven track record of installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and data center technologies.
- 2+ years in a helpdesk or technical support role, providing frontline support and resolving issues via ticketing systems.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure cloud platforms, including advanced user and group management, permissions, and cloud services administration.
- In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies and VPN solutions such as Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, and Fortinet, with hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting these systems.
- Strong proficiency in VMWare and other virtualization platforms, including virtual machine setup, maintenance, and performance tuning.
- Experience managing Windows desktop and server environments (2008-2022), with a strong understanding of patch management, updates, and system hardening.
- Proficiency with ticketing and remote management tools such as ConnectWise, Kaseya, ServiceNow, and other similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple client systems simultaneously.
Nice to Have
- Experience with monitoring tools and network management platforms for proactive system maintenance and issue detection.
- Familiarity with additional virtualization technologies like Hyper-V.
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Certification in relevant areas such as Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware (e.g., MCSA, CCNA, VCP).
