What You'll Do
Manage and maintain Linux-based Red Hat systems across multiple environments, including production, development, and disaster recovery. Ensure system reliability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Lead the provisioning, setup, and ongoing support of Unix and Linux infrastructure, ensuring alignment with operational requirements. Automate routine system tasks, particularly patching workflows, using Ansible to improve efficiency and consistency.
Develop and maintain standardized documentation and scripting practices for Unix/Linux environments. Collaborate with application teams, database administrators, network engineers, and external vendors to design, evaluate, and deploy new systems and applications.
Support infrastructure needs for databases and applications, ensuring resources are allocated effectively. Contribute to system scalability and stability across both physical and virtual server environments.
Requirements
- Seven years of experience in technology infrastructure operations
- At least five years as a Linux Administrator in an enterprise setting with mixed physical and virtual server environments
- Proven track record administering Red Hat Linux and Satellite Server
- Experience supporting systems running Oracle databases
- Extensive hands-on work with Ansible for automation and configuration management
- Direct experience with VMware and AWS cloud platforms
