Penguin Random House is looking for a System Administrator specializing in Device Management. You will be responsible for ticket handling, system maintenance, project participation, research, and documentation within our Microsoft cloud and endpoint environment.
What You'll Do
- Independently accept and process tickets, communicating with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements and criticality levels during troubleshooting and request handling.
- Proactively check and ensure all systems and environments are up and running.
- Participate in short and medium-term device management projects, adhering to deadlines and communicating delays.
- Attend meetings with customers, vendors, or project managers, explaining technically complex topics simply.
- Independently research solutions and monitor Microsoft changes for devices and endpoints.
- Record and document results, opportunities, and decision proposals.
What We're Looking For
- Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager experience.
- Cloud administration of Windows workstation systems.
- Administration of Microsoft Windows operating systems (e.g., Windows 11).
- Good understanding of Microsoft workplace technologies (Azure, Entra, Microsoft 365, Defender).
- PowerShell skills.
- Experience in troubleshooting Windows devices (e.g., through 2nd and 3rd level support).
- Basic understanding of relationships and processes in the Microsoft cloud environment for devices and endpoints.
- Several years of professional experience in device management, Microsoft endpoint management, and the Microsoft cloud environment.
- Excellent English and German language skills.
