Gecko Robotics is hiring a Surveyor - Contractor to help pioneer a new, digital-first approach to visual inspections for U.S. Navy assets. You will collaborate directly with our engineering and operations teams to validate inspection data and modernize how it's collected and analyzed.
What You'll Do
- Travel to USN facilities to collect inspection data.
- Travel to Gecko facilities to work side-by-side with operators, producing best-in-class Level 1 inspection deliverables.
- Certify and sign off on inspection deliverables for use by the U.S. Navy.
- Travel to Gecko facilities to work side-by-side with engineers, developing hardware and software solutions for digital-first inspections.
What We're Looking For
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Currently hold certification of completion for the NACE (AMPP) International Shipboard Corrosion Assessment Training (S-CAT) course.
- Completion of a minimum 3-month period of on-the-job training under a qualified Level 1 Surveyor with at least three years of experience, with all applicable requirements met. This OJT period may have started up to 6 months prior to S-CAT course completion.
Nice to Have
- A qualified Level 1 Surveyor with a minimum of three years of experience, capable of supervising and certifying surveyors in training.
- Experience completing condition surveys on 50+ compartments or logging 100+ hours of surveys.
- Proficiency in MRC G1N5 and G1N6 survey reporting forms, with strong written and verbal skills.
- Familiarity with data entry systems such as CCIMS and CADET.
- Working knowledge of Navy requirements for surface preparation and coatings.
- Passion for modernizing Navy maintenance through digitization and efficiency.

Work Mode
This is an onsite position requiring frequent travel to U.S. Navy and Gecko Robotics facilities.
