Topographic, Inc. is seeking an experienced Survey Technician II to join our team. In this role, you will execute technically complex land surveying assignments and review survey maps and documents for technical accuracy and compliance with property laws.
What You'll Do
- Perform research of county, city, and other sources of record information on easements, deeds, and other pertinent information.
- Utilize research to prepare working sketches for field crews.
- Use Trimble Business Center software to process field crew data and produce files for import into AutoCAD.
- Create survey base drawings using field crew data files, field sketches, photos, and reference maps.
- Utilize AutoCAD software to produce detailed subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and other various survey-related maps or exhibits.
- Check submittals to client for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for review.
- Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for right of way, easements, acquisition parcels, and other needs.
- Perform QA/QC procedures on work prepared by yourself and others.
What We're Looking For
- HS Diploma.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of mathematics used in field survey analysis.
- Thorough understanding and ability to apply methods and standards of technical report writing and computer-assisted surveying applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret a variety of maps, title reports, and legal descriptions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to draft reports and letters.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to Have
- Associates degree in Surveying.
- SIT and CST Certification.

- Compensation: $30 - $32 per hour.
