UniUni is looking for a Surveillance Systems Specialist to manage the integrity and performance of our security infrastructure. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining IP-based surveillance systems across multiple facilities, ensuring a secure and compliant environment.
What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and maintain IP-based surveillance cameras and related infrastructure (NVR/DVR, cabling, networking equipment).
- Monitor and manage camera feeds across multiple facilities using centralized monitoring platforms.
- Check out all the video footage across all the stations on a weekly basis.
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform regular audits, and ensure optimal performance of all surveillance equipment.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to plan and oversee camera installations and upgrades.
- Integrate surveillance systems with warehouse operations and safety protocols to enhance facility security.
- Establish standardized processes for camera deployment, maintenance, and safety compliance across all locations.
- Prepare documentation of system layouts, configurations, and maintenance schedules.
- Provide remote and on-site support as required.
- In the future, mentor and lead additional team members as the department grows.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3 years direct experience.
- Proven experience in surveillance camera installation, including CCTV, IP cameras, and NVR/DVR systems.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety practices.
- Familiarity with networking (LAN/WAN), cabling standards, and security monitoring platforms.
- Hands-on experience with video management software (VMS) such as Milestone, Genetec, or equivalent.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical skills, including remote support capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and travel up to 30% as required.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
- OSHA or similar compliance knowledge.
- Preferred certifications: Axis, Genetec, Milestone, or CompTIA Network+.
