Corewell Health is hiring a Surgical Tech II for our South Tower location. This role is responsible for maintaining and preparing the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and evaluation of changing conditions during surgical procedures. You will be part of a collaborative culture dedicated to equity and excellence in patient care.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and prepare the surgical suite
- Handle instruments intraoperatively
- Maintain the sterile field
- Evaluate changing conditions during surgical procedures and make appropriate responses
- Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
- Serve as a preceptor as needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma
- Associate degree or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc.) OR 1 year of equivalent experience
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
Nice to Have
- Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience (Clinical rotations count as experience)
