nVent was looking for a Surge Protection Sales Manager - (ERICO) North America

nVent seeks a Surge Protection Sales Manager for its ERICO brand to lead demand creation and product expertise across North America. You will provide market insight to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and deliver exceptional customer value across the United States and Canada for the ERICO Surge brands.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and drive sales strategy and execution, leading Regional Sales Managers and the Inside Sales team.
  • Conduct market research and planning to identify team sales growth opportunities.
  • Analyze competitive markets to better position sales and marketing efforts.
  • Lead high-level relationships with Key Accounts and negotiate major contracts.
  • Drive revenue achievement and customer growth across job sites, end users, panel shops, contractors, specifiers, installers, and through cross-selling nVent solutions.
  • Partner with local Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and Manufacturing Representatives.
  • Manage national, regional, and local programs, including rebate programs for end users and contractors.
  • Act as a voice of the customer between the field and support functions.
  • Educate and mentor RSMs, agents, and channel sales teams on application and value-based selling of ERICO Surge Products.
  • Lead on-site surveys and drive opportunities through engineering workshops.
  • Partner with Sales Director, Regional Sales Managers, and the EFS Channel on market training, pricing initiatives, and local promotions.

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to work remotely from a US home office and travel an average of 50% throughout the US and Canada, including overnight trips.
  • Previous experience in surge protection or switchgear sales.
  • Experience leading outside and inside sales teams.
  • Advanced value-based selling and interpersonal skills sufficient to negotiate and guide customers toward nVent solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Physical capability to navigate construction project sites, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel internationally.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in technical electrical sales.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical electrical sales, selling to contractors, panel shops, and OEMs.

Team & Environment

You will lead a team of inside and outside sales, specifically managing Regional Sales Managers and an Inside Sales team. You will partner closely with the Sales Director.

  • Compensation: Geographic Region A: $114,500.00 - $212,600.00 +; Region B: $119,200.00 - $221,400.00 +; Region C: $130,100.00 - $241,500.00 +
