QuickNode is hiring a Support Engineer II

About the Role

QuickNode is hiring a Support Engineer II to provide pivotal technical support and debug complex issues for a network servicing over 10 billion requests per month. As a key link between our customers and developers, you will ensure our Web3 infrastructure runs smoothly and empower our global users.

What You'll Do

  • Answer support requests from potential and existing customers.
  • Set up local proxies to debug outgoing Web3 requests.
  • Provide fast, effective resolutions to customer issues.
  • Translate customer hardships into actionable items for the developer team.
  • Debug core customer issues using custom software and standard tooling.
  • Track, reproduce, and resolve issues proactively without constant supervision.
  • Meet daily to review customer issues, task progress, and design solutions.
  • Document processes and share knowledge across the team.
  • Preemptively solve complex problems before they impact multiple customers.

What We're Looking For

  • Advanced scripting in more than one of: Python, GoLang, Ruby, Bash.
  • Deep knowledge of internet core protocols: DNS, TCP/SSL, HTTP.
  • Experience with the Ethereum JSON RPC specification.
  • Experience maintaining infrastructure as code with Terraform and preferably Ansible, Salt, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Expertise in managing Linux hosts.
  • Experience with proactive alerting and monitoring systems.
  • Proven experience in technical customer support, including troubleshooting, CLI tools, and Linux.
  • Adept at setting up and debugging unfamiliar software.
  • Being extremely thorough in debugging and documenting issues for other teams.
  • Capable of preemptively solving complex problems.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Blockchain technology.
  • Previous customer support in a technical capacity.
  • Worked on a remote team of 5-10 people.
  • Written scripts to diagnose technical failures.
  • Managed refunds, credits, and charges in Stripe.
  • Led a customer support team in a technical capacity.

You will join a global team of over 120 people. Every engineer at QuickNode spends time on customer support on a rotating basis, fostering a deep product understanding and customer-centric culture.

Work Mode

This is a global remote position. We are hiring for candidates located within the European Timezone.
