Perfetti Van Melle is hiring a Supply Planning Manager to lead and improve Supply Planning for the USA & Canada businesses. In this collaborative leadership role, you will ensure supply plans effectively support customer service and cost objectives while mentoring a team and driving continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and mentoring for a team of Supply Planners to prioritize career development and functional competency improvements.
- Execute plans to achieve and exceed customer service, manage working capital, and meet key planning performance indicators.
- Drive continuous excellence behaviors within the team, embedding root cause analysis and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Develop and guide implementation of all global recommended standards and be a change agent across supply planning.
- Build and lead cross-functional teams to achieve core business objectives, navigate complex problems, and capitalize on opportunities in the supply plan.
- Communicate information across the business such as projected out of stock, planning projections, capacity outlook, and inventory levels.
- Act as the first point of contact for communication of supply planning and issue resolution with the commercial team, factories, logistics, and other markets.
- Lead and improve the Supply Review component of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to ensure alignment for robust operational and innovation execution plans.
- Influence cross-functional teams at all levels, including executive teams, regarding the rolling 24-month supply plans.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS in Business Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain areas, including leading teams.
- Working knowledge of S&OP processes and interactions including portfolio management, demand management, supply planning, and financial reconciliation.
- Experience with Operational Planning for capacity and inventory planning, optimizing across make/source scenarios across domestic and international factories.
- Experience in Continuous Improvement processes and cultures.
- Proven effectiveness managing by influence across diverse levels of an organization and across functions.
- Strong business and financial acumen, financial/business literacy, and analytical skills.
- Development and analysis of scorecards to leverage data and KPIs to drive business improvements.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization; ability to present complex data simply for effective decision making.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility, navigate a matrix organization, and engage others to implement effective solutions.
- Capacity to build relationships internally and externally.
- Confidence and success in problem resolution, resourcefulness, and the ability to adjust to changes.
- Project/Program management skills; ability to lead cross-functional project teams internally and manage external supplier teams.
