Washington University in St. Louis is hiring a Supervisor Pre-Certification to join the Department of Medicine Business Office. In this remote role, you will supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the predetermination process and counsel patients on options for financial assistance.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to policy and procedures to optimize the pre-certification process and minimize dollars lost.
- Initiate and facilitate the predetermination process.
- Directly interact with patients regarding non-coverage and develop self-pay financial plans.
- Work with faculty and clinical staff regarding self-pay package pricing and financial coordination plans for patients.
- Work with other departments to ensure agreement with developed financial plans.
- Monitor volumes through reporting to ensure appropriate staffing levels and adjust workload distributions as needed.
- Interact with representatives of major third-party carriers to resolve prior approval problems and discuss program changes.
- Participate in selecting new employees, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
- Assist with coverage in staff areas during absences.

- Compensation range: $56,200.00 - $87,100.00 annually.
